ARBITRATION BY THE CONSULS

MASSACRE OF CHRISTIANS


LONDON, Jan. 3.

The Sultan having accepted the proposal of the Ambassadors at Stamboul that the foreign Consuls at Aleppo should arbitrate between the Armenian insurgents and the Turks at Zeitoun, the fighting in the vicinity of the latter town has been suspended.

Jan. 5.

The Kurds have massacred 2000 Christians at Orfah, in the Aleppo district. A great massacre of Christians has also taken place at Biredjik.
