THE ALLEGED AUTHOR DECORATED
SEARCHING INQUIRY DEMANDED
LONDON, Dec. 4.
The Times publishes some further particulars of the recent atrocities in Armenia.
It says that a number of Turkish soldiers declare that they were threatened with death unless they joined in the outrages on the Armenians.
The Sultan of Turkey has decorated Mushir Pasha, who is said to have been the author of the atrocities.
The Times says that the Powers ought to unitedly protest against the action of Turkey, and to compel the Turkish Government to institute a searching inquiry into the whole of the circumstances connected with the atrocities, in order that condign punishment may be meted out to those responsible for the outrages.
