The Adana Massacres

LONDON, Sept. 8.

In connection with the massacres at Adana, Asia Minor, Djevad Bey, ex Vali, has been sentenced to six years exclusion from the public service; Remzi Pacha, military commandant, to three years imprisonment. The Governor was acquitted.

The Armenian Patriarch has resigned, as a protest against the inadequacy of the sentences, and a sentence of death passed on four innocent Armenians.
