Sufferings of Armenians

40,000 Murdered hy Turks

Letters received in Paris state that 40,0000 Armenians in Cilicia, a province in Asia Minor, bordering on the Mediterranean, have perished as the result of Turkish persecution. The entire population were stripped of all their possessions and driven into the desert to die.

Twenty Armenian Social Democrats were publicly hanged in Constantinople on a charge of having plotted for the independence of Armenia.
