The Armenian Atrocities

MR. GLADSTONE'S VIEWS

LONDON, Dec. 30.

Mr. Gladstone has made a further statement of his views with respect to the terrible atrocities alleged to have been recently committed by Turkish troops in Armenia.

He states that it is the duty of the public to await the results of the inquiries which are to be made by the Turkish Government. If, however, he adds, the atrocities are proved, outraged humanity should execrate the Sultan, and make him sensible of the madness of his policy.
