Turkey and Armenia

RIOTS IN CONSTANTINOPLE

MANY KILLED

LONDON, Aug. 27.

The Armenian inhabitants of Constantinople have come into conflict with the Turks, and serious rioting has occurred. The banks were attacked during the riots, and numbers on both sides were killed.

The fighting between the Armenian rioters and Turkish troops in Constantinople continued during the whole of last night.

The Ottoman Bank was token possession of and held by 40 of the rioters. The bank manager, however, telegraphs that the bank is now free.
