Training Children in Trades

AUCKLAND (N.Z.), Friday. — Mr. Cresswell, the national Australian secretary of the Armenian Relief Fund, arrived by the steamer Makura. Mr. Cresswell said that about 1,000.000 Armenians had been massacred in Armenia proper. When he visited the country in May there were more than 20,000 children in orphanages, where vocational training was successfully given. When Mr. Cresswell was in Constantinople, 30,000 refugees were passing through. All the Black Sea ports were full of them, and it was these people that Greece was helping so magnificently. There were about 1,500,000 refugees in Greece.
