The Massacres in Armenia

REPORT BY "THE TIMES" CORRESPONDENT

HIDEOUS DETAILS

LONDON, Nov. 16.

"The Times" this morning publishes a long letter from its correspondent at Erzeroum, the capital of Armenia, with regard to the recent massacres.

It fills three columns and contains hideous details respecting the massacres of Armenians by the Turkish soldiery, which, the correspondent states, were carried out in the most deliberate and systematic manner, men, women, and children being slaughtered with every possible accompaniment of torture and outrage.

The correspondent states that he himself counted 320 dead bodies lying in one spot.
