Another Massacre of Armenians
THE SULTAN ALARMED
LONDON, Oct. K1.
The action of the Sultan in yielding to the demands of the powers, insisting on the immediate carrying out of reforms in Armenia, has caused great discontent among the Mohammedan population of Constantinople.
Public feeling among the Moslems has been manifested in such an unmistakable manner as to greatly alarm the Sultan.
Another shocking massacre of Armenian Christians by Mohammedans is reported, this time at Akhissar (the ancient Thyatira), in Asia Minor. No fewer than 50 Armenians were slaughtered by the Turks.
